Future projects to be funded by Cwlwm Monduli

Medical Dispensary for Mlimani Women’s Centre

Cwlwm Monduli is collaborating with Monduli Hospital and the Local Council to raise funds to establish a medical dispensary at the Mlimani Women’s Centre that was built by the charity. This will provide diagnostic testing and treatment facilities for women and babies.

Tree Planting

Working in collaboration with a small Tanzanian charity, we have purchased 300 tree saplings which are being grown on to provide protection against drought and soil erosion. Cuttings will be taken from mature trees to enable the project to be duplicated by more villages around Monduli.

School Uniforms

Primary education is free but the children have to have a uniform and provide their own exercise books and pens, pencils etc. There are currently 360 children in Nure School and a further 94 who can’t go because they can’t afford the uniform etc. HIV is a problem with a fairly large number of orphans so this situation is likely to be ongoing. Cwlwm Monduli is setting up a fund so that children are not denied education through poverty. The need for school uniforms still continues.
