Nure Primary School Toilets
A long-term joint project with Nure Primary School was completed in January 2026. The existing pit toilets were in a very poor state but funding was not available to replace them from Local Government in Tanzania or UK grants. Cwlwm Monduli worked with the village community which provided free labour and sourced materials locally paid for by donations from people in Nure and fund-raising events in Carmarthen.

Monduli Medical Dispensary for Mlimani Women’s Centre
Cwlwm Monduli collaborated with Monduli Hospital and the Local Council to raise funds to establish a medical dispensary at the Mlimani Women’s Centre that was built by the charity. This provides vaccination, diagnostic testing and treatment facilities for women and babies.
The dispensary was opened in 2025 and is staffed by qualified doctors and nurses and means that women no longer have to travel to the General Hospital for treatment.

Roofway for Monduli Hospital
In May 2021 an extensive roofway between all wards at Monduli Hospital was completed by local builders. We are grateful for money which continued to be donated throughout the pandemic when fund-raising events were prevented.
Pre-school classroom at Nure Primary School
A link has been established between Roger Ascham Primary School in London and Nure Primary School in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. With money raised by the pupils in London, Cwlwm Monduli has built a pre-school classroom. Pupils in both schools have been able to meet by video link.
Kitchen for the families of patients at Monduli Hospital
We have paid for the construction of a kitchen for use by the families of patients in Monduli Hospital. Patients depend on food provided by their family and previously had to use a dilapidated corrugated iron shed. The hospital has obtained funding to decorate the new building.
Medical Supplies for Monduli Hospital
A tour guide for Naturetrek kindly delivered medical supplies for Monduli Hospital, including stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors and baby monitors.
Water Storage Tank for Monduli Hospital
We have sent money for completion of a water storage tank for Monduli Hospital. This project was started by Coventry University students and was completed by local workers.
The tank was finished before the rainy season.
